This part of the Savannah River explores the area just below the Clark Hill Dam. The Savannah River is one of Georgia’s largest rivers (drains over 10,00 acres) and is hundreds of feet wide in places. Trees that line the shores of this section of the river include moss festooned cypress, river-birch and a variety of different oak species. This part of the river is good for fishing too. There are several different species of fish, including largemouth bass, striped bass, bream and catfish.
